The all American production of kia sorento by the South Korean automaker Kia Motors has undergone a major transformation from a traditional SUV which was mainly truck based to a redesigned car based model. The two versions have a lot of differences but was opted to be labeled as an upgrade from the older one to its second generation. By introducing the new Sorento XMA, Kia Motors had been proud of the change in its weight losing at least 474 pounds lesser than its first generation sibling. In January of 2011, the 3 models of kia sorento had been introduced. These are: the LX, EX and SX. All these have varying engine features although the LX and the EX seem to be close in proximity on similarities to engine upgrades and components. The car frame now is manufactured as a unibody construction type as opposed to the way it was produced with its old style frame. The current version of kia sorento is equipped with a new Kia technology called Kia UVO. It provides the car owner a high technological car infotainment system complete with touch screen capabilities and voice activated features. With the advancement of technology nowadays this can be one of the cars of the future.
